Conventional Detection Zone Module

M210E-CZR Module

The Conventional Detection Zone Module (M210E-CZR) links a set of conventional detectors in a Hazardous Area using an intrinsically safe barrier with a Pertronic analogue addressable fire panel via the AA loop.

The module is compatible only with System Sensor ORBIS IS conventional detectors, KAC IS MCPs and LHD cable and our range of intrinsically safe detectors.

The M210E-CZR has an inbuilt resistor. This makes it especially suitable for use with detection zones in areas subject to explosive atmosphere.

The Hazardous Area conventional detection zone can be powered from the analogue addressable loop or from an external power supply.

Where the Hazardous Area conventional zone is powered from an external power supply, the AA loop is fully isolated from the conventional zone and from the external power supply.

  • Tri-Colour status LED
  • Remote reset of a Hazardous Area conventional zone
  • Detection zone may be powered from AA loop or external 24 Volt dc power supply
  • Monitoring of external power supply
  • Built-in isolation
  • Supervises for open-circuit and short-circuit faults
  • External fault input
  • Fits M200E-SMB mounting box, or M200E-DIN module rack + M200E-PMB panel mount bracket connection
  • Compatible with ORB-HT-51151 and ORB-OP-52028 intrinsically safe detectors
  • Not compatible with NZS 4512:2003 or later Pertronic Indicating Heat detectors or MCPs

  • WARNING: The information on this website must not be treated as complete instructions for the design, construction, installation, commissioning, or maintenance of systems in hazardous areas. Cabling and fire system devices in Hazardous Areas must be designed and installed by properly qualified persons, in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations.
  • The M210E-CZR is NOT suitable for use in NZ EXCEPT in Hazardous Areas using an intrinsically safe barrier
  • When the M210E-CZR is used with an intrinsically safe barrier, a short circuit on the Hazardous Area side of the intrinsically safe barrier will trigger an alarm. Only a short on the module side of the intrinsically safe barrier will generate a fault signal.
  • The maximum recommended number of conventional IS devices used with each CZR module and barrier is 20, and the minimum external power supply is 23V.
  • When used with System Sensor conventional 100, 300, 400 and ECO100 series detectors, a 470-ohm resistor base must be used. (B401R Conventional Detector Base with 470 Ohm Resistor)
