Solenoid Test Controller

The Solenoid Test Controller is used to manually activate water-flow valve solenoids.

The unit has eight momentary push-button switches, which interface with the fire alarm control panel via a Pertronic Multi-Function Loop Responder. Each momentary push-button switch may be mapped (using FireUtils®) to one output of an analogue addressable module or Pertronic Loop Relay. In either case, each output is usually wired to a solenoid-operated valve.

There are two variants of the Solenoid Test Controller. The SOLTESTCON-10K occupies one space on a Pertronic Fan Control Plate. The SOLTESCON+LABEL has an area for labels alongside the 8 push-button switches, and occupies two spaces on a Pertronic Fan Control Plate. (Please refer to the F220 datasheet for more information about control plates.)

These control units are usually mounted on one of the fire alarm control panel’s rack-mounted control plates.
