A Better Supply of Pressure Switches for SGDFBAs
From late October, Pertronic sprinkler fire brigade alarm units will be fitted with Potter pressure switches.
We are very pleased to have secured a reliable supply of these high quality switches. Manufactured by Potter Electric Signal Company, they are UL-listed for sprinkler system applications, and are functionally identical to the System Sensor switches they replace.
Please note, however, that the pipe fitting on Potter switches is shorter than the System Sensor pipe fitting shown above. On a Pertronic SGDFBA with Potter switches, the pipe protrudes approximately 30 mm less than with the old switches.
The revised SGDFBAs have new product codes (SGDFBA-XP, SGDFBA-YP), to distinguish them from the existing models (SGDFBA-X, SGDFBA-Y).
This change will overcome supply chain issues with the previous pressure switches.
